14 weeks

Well I am officially in my second trimester and couldn't be happier! I am so thankful that the sickness is beginning to subside and I'm hoping the energy will come back as everyone has promised. Of course with a full time job and full time graduate work my energy level has never been up real high. Our dr appointment went well last week. Everything is right along schedule and everyone is growing properly. We didn't have another sonogram, but the baby's heartbeat is around 150 bpm. Here's what babycenter says is happening this week with our little one:

This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

It refers to the baby as a he...hmmm....could that be true??? We'll find out March 2nd.

For those concerned about the cows...everyone made it home safely. One cow has quite a bit of damage to her hooves, but is still getting around well enough to get food and water. So Aaron is hopeful she will be ok in a few weeks. We will be seeing baby cows pretty soon...let the herd begin! :)

My dryer is shrinking my clothes!

Ok so probably not, but seriously the clothes that fit LAST WEEK are not fitting me this week. Luckily Mom came into town this weekend and we went shopping. My mom kept bringing me pants and I would tell her they were way too big for me, but of course when I put them on...they fit!!! So I embraced a full maturnity outfit yesterday and it was by far the most comfortable I have been in a couple of months. So I guess it's official...I'm 13 weeks along and expanding every day. :) I am also pleased to announce I had a successful week last week of no sickness so I'm hoping that might be over with, but I'm still crossing my fingers just in case. Here is a picture of me today, please excuse the lounge clothes it's Sunday afternoon. I go to the dr tomorrow and will have more to update then.
I also wanted to include the rest of the pictures of our house. We finally broke down and hired someone to come in and clean. It is wonderful!! So once a month we will have a completely spotless house and the other 3 weeks I'll do my best.

We had a wonderful Christmas. We spent lots of time with my family and it was great to have so much time off. Here are a few pics from Christmas (I've been so bad about blogging...I will try to get better).

I am wasting time waiting on Aaron and my dad to get back from Missouri. They went for the weekend to get some cattle from Aaron's granddad...Thanks Grandpa, you have no idea how happy you have made Aaron! They left early this morning and should be back, however, they have had "some" trouble. Of course when Aaron told me what the problems were it turned out to be more than "some." The bottom of the trailer fell out as they were driving down the road somewhere in OK. Thanks to very nice police officers and a retired fire chief they were able to get a lumber yard to open up to fix the bottom of the trailer and find a vet to check the cows. Only two were hurt, but Aaron thinks they will be ok. So after that and a flat tire I'm hoping to see them in a few hours. Til tomorrow...
